COLOMBO – Sri Lanka’s leading printers, packaging specialists and graphic communications professionals were honoured at the prestigious Sri Lanka National Print Excellence Awards 2026, held at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, on Saturday (20), celebrating excellence, innovation and sustainability in the country’s printing industry.
Organized by the Sri Lanka Printers Association (SLAP), the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes outstanding achievements in printing quality, technological advancement, creativity and professional standards across the sector, attracted a record number of entries, reflecting the industry’s growing commitment to quality, continuous improvement and international competitiveness.
Industry leaders said the awards serve as an important benchmark for measuring Sri Lankan printing standards against global best practices while encouraging investment, innovation and sustainable business practices.
The event was attended by senior government officials, international industry representatives and business leaders.
The awards followed the successful conclusion of Sri Lanka Print Expo 2026, a two-day international trade exhibition organized by SLAP on the theme ‘Driving Innovation and Sustainability for a Print Future’. Held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, with Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Thilaka Jayasundara, participating as Chief Guest, drew prominent international delegates, including representatives of the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) and other leading global printing industry organizations.
The exhibition, regarded as Sri Lanka’s largest trade fair dedicated to printing, packaging, labelling, signage and graphic communications, showcased the latest industry technologies, products and sustainable solutions while providing a platform for networking and business collaboration among local and international stakeholders.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia served as the Principal Sponsor of the exhibition, while KWO Printing Needs Ltd. and MK Masterwork were Platinum Sponsors. JDC Printing Technologies, Metropolitan and Gestetner of Ceylon PLC supported the event as Gold Sponsors. Wijeya Newspapers Ltd. and Express Newspapers (Ceylon) Ltd. were the official media sponsors.
