COLOMBO – State-run SriLankan Airlines said it has re-started direct flights to Jeddah three times a week, pushing up total weekly flights to cities in the desert kingdom to 17.
SriLankan is expanding capacity after the Government of Saudi Arabia began relaxing its visa policy to boost tourism, the airline said.
SriLankan Airlines’ flight UL 281 will depart Colombo at 14:25 hrs every Tuesday and Sunday and arrives in Jeddah at 18:10 hours. The flight will depart Jeddah at 19:25 and will arrive in Colombo the next day at 04:15 hours.
On Wednesday UL 281 flight will depart Colombo at 14:15 hours and arrive in Jeddah at 18:00 hours. The flight will depart Jeddah at 19:15 hours and reach Colombo at 04:05 hours.
Jeddah is convenient for pilgrims visiting the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, the airline said.
SriLankan also flies daily from Colombo to Dammam and Riyadh, and now has a total of 17 weekly flights to the Kingdom.
