MATARA – The Rotaract Club of the University of Ruhuna, along with the Interact Club of the Asian Grammar School, Matara, completed their ‘Life After Life’ project in March this year, with an informative session about the positive outcomes of organ donation. Close to 50 participants and donors attended the session held at the Isipathnarama Temple in Wellamadama, Matara.
The project, organized under the community service avenue of the Rotaract Club, aimed to make a notable impact by fostering a culture of organ donation by acquainting individuals with knowledge, dispelling myths and facilitating the registration process.
The project strives to create a positive ripple effect that will benefit the health and well-being of countless individuals awaiting organ transplants in Sri Lanka.
The informative session on project day was conducted by a representative from the Eye Donation Society who apprised both donors and participants about the positive outcomes stemming from organ donation.
