Certificates for journalists completing course on Macroeconomics 2022
COLOMBO – The certificate ceremony for Macroeconomics for Journalists 2022, hosted by the Centre for Banking Studies (CBS) of the Centerral Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) was held on Friday (21) at the Atrium, CBSL.
The event was graced by the Governor of CBSL, Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka, Paul Stephens and Chairman of SLPI, Kumar Nadesan.
Certificate Course on Macroeconomics for Journalists was initiated by CBS of the CBSL in September 2022. The SLPI formed a partnership with the timely support of the Australian High Commission’s Direct Aid Program to support 20 journalists through this program.
Out of 25 participants, SLPI chose 20 journalists for scholarships based on their backgrounds in journalism and economics-related reporting.
Certificates were handed over to the journalists by the Governor of CBSL Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe and the High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka, Paul Stephens.
