A holistic physical and psychological wellness experience
Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness offers transformative wellbeing solutions
Sri Lanka’s leading and most advanced aesthetic and wellness centre, Christell Skin Clinic, has added an exciting wellbeing offering to its growing portfolio of professional skin and body treatments. Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness promises a holistic physical and psychological wellness experience, combining the ancient traditions of Ayurveda with the sciences of modern integrative medicine.
One of the world’s oldest forms of healing, Ayurveda is rooted in the belief that the body should be detoxified of all impurities -external and internal- in order to attain a state of complete wellbeing. The new line of treatments is designed to help clients achieve a truly transformative mind, body and spirit experience; one that promises renewed energy, a relaxed body, and relief from persistent ailments.
Committed to protecting the standards of formulations that have been used, tested, and documented in Ayurvedic medical texts for thousands of years, all treatments from the Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness menu are carefully designed and overseen by the Christell Skin Clinic’s certified Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery specialist. Following an initial consultation to determine each client’s individual Prakthri (body constitution) and Dosha (body humours), a personalized treatment plan is then formulated, to be carried out by the centre’s team of trained therapists.
In accordance with the system’s guiding principles, female clients will be attended to by the clinic’s female therapists, and male clients by male therapists.
Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness offers a broad portfolio of nourishing and healing body treatments, including those that promote reduced inflammation and overall skin hydration, skin nourishment and improved complexion, body exfoliation for glowing complexion, weight loss, skin cleansing, and improved blood circulation. The new menu also includes relaxing and tension-relieving massages and therapies to treat recurring back pains, neck, shoulder, and head massages, as well as other stress relief and curative joint pain treatments. Of the face treatments offered are face massages, herbal face masks, and various other procedures for dry skin and skin discoloration.
“Sri Lankans have a tendency to lean towards all things traditional, and irrespective of the many Western treatments that have seemingly surpassed this ancient science, Ayurveda has withstood the test of time as an effective holistic healing system for many of our modern-day afflictions,” says Prof. Ramani Arsecularatne, Director at Christell Skin Clinic. “With Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness, we hope to offer a certified alternative for those looking to find health and wellness solutions outside of, or even in tandem with Western treatments.”
Established in 2014 by respected aestheticians Prof. Ramani Arsecularatne and Aesthetic Medicine and Anti-Ageing Specialist, Dr. Shanika Arsecularatne (MBBS), the Christell Skin Clinic has over the years offered a personalized, non-invasive approach to aesthetics and anti-ageing medicine, helping clients get the very best out of their skin, hair and body. Prof. Arsecularatne, with over 30 years experience, together with a trained team of skincare therapists and consultants, employ only US FDA approved technologies and treatments to incorporate a menu of scientifically proven and holistic procedures; from modest BOTOX to exclusive dermal therapies, and laser skin rejuvenation treatments to non-surgical body contouring and toning. Since its founding, the cosmetology and luxury wellness clinic has expanded its services, reach, and international standing, having most recently opened a full-service salon and beauty clinic, Christell-Cutting Station at One Galle Face shopping centre, in collaboration with The Cutting Station. Christell Skin Clinic now also currently operates in the Maldives, and has also opened the internationally-acclaimed Elixir Clinic’s first global franchise here in Sri Lanka.
