Sri Lanka’s remanded ex- health minister out on bail
COLOMBO — Sri Lanka’s former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, remanded over the alleged import of substandard medicines, was granted bail on Wednesday (11).
Media reports said the minister, who was in remand custody for seven months over the alleged import of substandard human intravenous immunoglobulin injections, was granted bail by the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
Rambukwella was arrested on February 02.
The controversial minister’s bail comes 10 days before a crucial presidential election.
