COLOMBO – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (10) announced the resumption of document attestation services offered by its Consular Affairs Division from Wednesday (11), but said it would limit the number of person allowed entry strictly on prior appointment basis in keeping with the COVID-preventive health guidelines.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the ministry said appointments for document attestation should be made through its website http://consular.mfa.gov.lk/ONLINEBOOKING via telephone +94 112 338 812 and that appointments will be available only from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. during working days.
Those arriving without appointment will not be permitted entry to the office premises, the statement said, and recommended those in areas of isolation/ curfew refrain from visiting the office until such time the curfew/isolation is lifted.

The statement noted that both the Regional Consular Offices in Matara and Jaffna, will be open for the general public during working days, and urged those in the Northern and Southern provinces to obtain prior appointment through the following telephone numbers:
