COLOMBO – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided suspend all services offered by the Consular Affairs Division of the ministry until further notice, to restrict the congregation of the general public and thereby to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. It had on Wednesday (7) said the suspension would be for two days, ending Friday (9).
In an updated statement issued on Friday, the ministry said the Consular Affairs Division located at the Ceylinco Building in Colombo will remain closed for visitors until further notice. It said the Division will only accept queries related to attestation of ‘Export Documents’, strictly on prior appointment basis and appointments may be obtained by calling +94 (011)2338812.
