COLOMBO – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided suspend all services offered by the Consular Affairs Division of the ministry on October 8 and 9, to restrict the congregation of the general public and thereby to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (7), the ministry said the Consular Affairs Division located at the Ceylinco Building in Colombo will remain closed for visitors during the two days, but queries related to deaths of Sri Lankans overseas and death-related documentation assistance and attestation of ‘Export Documents’, will be accepted, strictly on prior appointment basis
It said appointments may be obtained at the following emergency lines:
