COLOMBO – The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo, announced a logo design competition on the theme ‘India-Sri Lanka Friendship’, inviting those under the age of 18 with an artistic bent to submit their original creations, aligning with the theme, on or before September 20.
Open to all under the age of 18 as of August 1, 2020, the submissions will be evaluated on relevance – the entry should align with the theme of the competition; originality – the entry should exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination; and aesthetic quality -the entry should command attention, should display visual balance and colour coordination, all the elements should work together to create a unified and appealing design. Winning entries placed first, second and third will receive cash prizes of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
The Centre has warned that plagiarism can lead to outright rejection of submission.
There is no registration fee, but participants are requested to submit their logo design along with a copy of their school/college/university ID card or national ID card or passport on or before September 20, via email to competition.svcc@gmail.com
