Sri Lanka cuts diesel, kerosene prices
COLOMBO – Sri Lanka’s state-run Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) reduced price of auto diesel by 3.5% or 15 rupees to 405 rupees a litre and kerosene by 2.7% or 10 rupees to 355 rupees with effect from Monday (2) midnight.
The price of diesel was at 420 rupees a litre and was last revised on December 5, 2022.
The CPC’s only competitor Lanka IOC, a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation, also reduced the prices in line with the CPC decision.
Super diesel and petrol 95 Octane remained at 510 rupees a litre, while 92 Octane remained at 370 rupees.
