Norway’s Honorary Consul General in Sri Lanka mourns King Harald V’s death
COLOMBO – It is with profound sadness that I learned of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.
His Majesty dedicated his life to the service of Norway and its people, leading with dignity, warmth and an unwavering sense of duty. His reign will be remembered for his humanity, humility and deep commitment to the values that define modern Norway.
As the Honorary Consul General of Norway in Sri Lanka, I extend my deepest condolences to Her Majesty Queen Sonja, the Royal Family, and the people of Norway at this time of national mourning.
Sri Lanka and Norway have shared a long and valued friendship, and today we join the people of Norway in mourning the loss of a much-loved King.
May His Majesty King Harald V rest in peace.
-Mano Sekaram -Honorary Consul General of Norway in Sri Lanka
