Embassy initiate ‘special inquiry hours’ for consular affairs in Rome
ROME – The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Rome has implemented a ‘Special Inquiry Hours’ program in order to efficiently handle telephone inquiries and communicate with Sri Lankans in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, San Marino, Albania and Malta.
The program, which came into effect on Friday (12), will have one dedicated telephone line made available in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages, on every working Friday from 14.00 to 17.00 hrs.
In addition, people who are unable to get access have been requested to send an email to consular.rome@mfa.gov.lk with their contacts (name and telephone number), requirement and copies of relevant documents enabling this Mission to contact them at the earliest.
The public had been made aware of the program through the Mission website and social media platforms.
The first call under this program was received by a dedicated officer in the presence of Deputy Chief of Mission Ratnasingam Kohularangan and the Mission staff.
